Andrew joined Cytrus in June 2011 and has since had a remarkable impact on the company’s business and technology strategy. A “big picture” guy, Andrew encourages innovation, excellence and continuous learning within the team. Previously a management consultant for PwC, architect at Fundamo and MD of Global Telecom, Andrew’s experience, knowledge and enthusiasm for technology make him a perfect fit for driving Cytrus’s competitive edge.

Morné du Toit
Chief Operating Officer
A former military man for the SADF now a military man for Cytrus, Morné maintains tight control over the company’s operational and delivery responsibilities. He has extensive operational experience in the corporate as well as SME environment. Morné has delivered projects for the likes of ABSA, Investec, Nedgroup, and Samsung to name but a few. When he isn’t playing drill sergeant at Cytrus, Morné plays a pretty good dad role at home too.

Gidon Judes
Sales Director
From his Israel homeland to the corporate business world of Johannesburg and Cape Town, Gidon came to the South African coast to surf, only to later discover that he has a natural ability to recognise opportunities and create innovative business relationships in South Africa’s online and mobile space. Still a keen surfer, UCT psychology graduate and all-round nice guy, Gidon drives the Cytrus sales pipeline.

Clyde Mallon
Business Solutions Manager
Clyde joined Cytrus in October 2010 as a Business Analyst with a strong technical background in systems analysis and development. Passionate about what he does and a knack for building relationships in business (not so much with the ladies), Clyde is now Cytrus’ Business Solutions Manager presenting proposals to prospective clients and managing key accounts. A former professional cyclist, he is competitive and very driven.

Grant Byron
Service Delivery Manager
Grant has extensive experience in all aspects of the web development game, coming from a background in front-end development and design through to digital account management and project management. Grant now manages Cytrus’ web and mobile projects ensuring their quality and expeditious delivery. He loves Liverpool, his wife and has great legs.

Andrew Gilham
Support Manager
An outdoors guy, Andrew finds himself in-doors most days managing the Cytrus helpdesk and support channels ensuring that all client technical issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently. When he isn’t resolving client issues, Andrew enjoys travelling at break-neck speeds on his Yamaha FZR and walking his dog. Usually not at the same time.

William Brooks
Solutions Architect
William leads the development team at Cytrus and architects the solutions that the team produces. A CPUT graduate in electronic engineering and having around 15 years experience in coding, William has a natural ability to understand the intricacies of software development. A former bare-knuckle fighting champion, he keeps the dev team in line and on track.

Charline Wickens
Design Manager
Charline has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of graphic and web design. She began her career in the print and newspaper scene, worked her way through to magazine and desktop publishing and on to the web, online and mobile platforms. Charline loves purple, stars and usability in software. As well as managing all aspects of design at Cytrus, Charline drives the UX and UI components of the development cycle.

Justin Swart
Developer
Justin joined Cytrus in July 2009 thus introducing swagger and sophistication into the development team. An NMMU and UNISA graduate, Justin builds PHP-driven websites with a strong emphasis on coding standards and efficiency. His favourite things include music, Apple products, chicks and Heineken beer.

Willie Nel
Developer
Previously a level 80 Rogue, now a ladies man and casual gamer, Willie graduated from CPUT and worked in Cape Town’s online media space for a few years before joining Cytrus in search of a new technical challenge. He hit the ground running and is now a formidable Java and Android developer which he admits ‘chicks dig’ about him.

Razeen Hendricks
Developer
The strong, silent type, Razeen enjoys long windy walks, table-tennis and gangster rap. A UCT computer science graduate, he has worked for the likes of Telkom and Fundamo before joining Cytrus as a Java developer. When he isn’t chewing your ear off in conversation, Razeen is coding threads so optimised they don’t even need to be synchronised.

Darren Tuck
Developer
With little explanation, other than ‘had to get out of there in a hurry’, Darren moved down from Joburg to join Cytrus in Cape Town with one thing in mind: building awesome new mobile apps. He’s a fan of fast (Audi) cars, an avid golfer, UCT and UP graduate and a skilled iOS, J2ME and C/C++ developer.

Sylvia Phungula
Test Analyst
Sylvia tests and quality-assures the software produced by the development team before it’s put into production use. Before joining Cytrus she gained experience in testing and QA for the likes of MWeb and Fundamo. Sylvia loves the colour pink, software that works, and above all – pink software that works.

Hanene Herrmann
Office Administrator
A big fan of all things administration, Hanene handles everything behind the scenes that keeps the office running smoothly. This mother of two Daschunds and avid MMORPG gamer says that juggling work and home life is a no-brainer, laughing appreciatively and warning the team that the ‘pain train’ is coming at any mention of ‘work pressure’.

Elizabeth Lester
Cleaner
Always a friendly face around the office, Lizzie keeps things in tip-top shape so that everyone else can get on with the messy business of building great new apps. Her favourite items to find in the kitchen include Clyde’s protein shaker, Willie’s cereal bowl and Justin’s coffee mug and peanut butter toast combo.
